Home / Pests by county
Delaware is small, but its three counties have different pest problems. Pick yours to see what’s most common, when it peaks, and which towns we cover.
Older homes, busy suburbs
Rowhomes and older housing stock in Wilmington and New Castle give mice and roaches plenty of ways in. Wooded developments around Hockessin and Middletown add ticks, and northern Delaware sits closest to the spotted lanternfly front in Pennsylvania.

New Castle County guide →Farm country and new subdivisions
Harvest season pushes field mice into homes and barns. New subdivisions built on former farmland meet wooded edges full of ticks, and Dover’s older neighborhoods see steady termite work.

Kent County guide →Marshes, bays and beach rentals
Salt marsh and the Inland Bays make mosquito pressure the highest in the state. Sandy soil suits subterranean termites, and rentals with weekly guest turnover are where bed bugs show up.
